Dhaka, May 19 -- Canada has expressed interest in investing in Bangladesh's aviation sector and extending soft loans to support the country's ongoing infrastructure development initiatives.
The matter was discussed during a courtesy meeting held on Sunday between Canadian High Commissioner Ajit Singh and the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, at the CAAB headquarters.
According to an official press release, prospective Canadian support could help expedite key infrastructure projects at airports across Bangladesh, including terminal expansions and the establishment of dedicated cargo villages.
