Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) has called for an end to political influence in the appointment of new dealers in the Open Market Sales (OMS) and Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) programs.

The organization's kishoreganj district Committee said in a statement that these two important food-friendly programs are facing various obstacles due to political considerations and are threatening the food security of the general public.

In a statement, CAB , district president Alam Sarowar Tito said that after the political change of August 5, many OMS and TCB dealers appointed during the previous government went into hiding.
