Dhaka, Oct. 19 -- The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has temporarily designated the GEC Maintenance area for storing goods following recent disruptions at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport cargo village.

Customs authorities are conducting physical examinations of goods at the designated site, while ASYCUDA World connectivity has been established at Gate No. 9 to facilitate customs processing. Officials of the NBR said that the release of goods is now being carried out through the newly designated gate to ensure continued cargo operations and minimise disruption to trade and logistics activities.
