Dhaka, Sept. 27 -- Chief Adviser to the Interim Government Prof Muhammad Yunus has underscored the critical role of labour reforms in attracting large-scale foreign direct investment in Bangladesh. He made the remarks at a high-level dinner hosted at the Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

The event focusing on labour laws, workers' rights and ongoing country's reform efforts was attended by diplomats, UN officials, and senior political figures from Bangladesh. Addressing as the Chief Guest, Dr Yunus reaffirmed the Interim Government's commitment to implementing key reforms aligned with International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, before the upcoming national elections in February.
