Bangladesh, Feb. 12 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today described the ongoing general elections and the referendum as a historic opportunity to build a "new Bangladesh," calling the day one of the greatest joys and a moment of liberation for the nation.

"Through the process that began today we have completely boycotted the past. We got an opportunity at every step to build a new Bangladesh. Let's celebrate the birthday of Bangladesh today. Let the whole nation celebrate the festival throughout the day," he said. News BSS
