Dhaka, Feb. 17 -- Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, on Monday directed Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to uphold law and order, enhance market monitoring to ensure price stability and public welfare, and strictly safeguard the rights of all citizens.
He made these remarks while inaugurating the three-day DCs Conference at Shapla Hall in his office.
The Chief Adviser reaffirmed the government's commitment to protecting minority rights, stating, "The government's duty is to provide security for everyone, and it is our collective responsibility to uphold the rights of minorities."
He encouraged minority communities to exercise their rights with confidence as equal citizens.
