Dhaka, Sept. 22 -- After recently holding talks with the Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, a group of business leaders sat with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday.

The discussion took place at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office, the party confirmed in a Facebook post.

An 11-member team, led by BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan, joined the meeting.

Business leaders earlier explained that their outreach is part of a wider initiative to engage with major political stakeholders. They emphasized that the dialogue was not partisan in nature but focused on key economic concerns.
