Dhaka, March 7 -- A Dhaka-bound Green Line Paribahan bus (Dhaka Metro-B-143112) caught fire and was completely gutted near South Bamrail in Wazirpur upazila on Thursday. After the incident, traffic movement temporarily halted on Dhaka-Barishal highway for about ninety minutes , according to Gouranadi Highway Police.Mohammad Aminur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Gouranadi Highway Police Station, said that the fire broke out suddenly while the bus was en route to Barishal from Dhaka. Sensing the danger, passengers hurriedly evacuated the vehicle.At that time two received minor injuries.Upon receiving the news, four firefighting units from Gouranadi and Wazirpur fire service station rushed to the scene and managed to douse the flames.The Highway...
