A bulkhead loaded with sand has sunk in the Meghna River after hitting a pillar of the Syed Nazrul Islam Road Bridge at the Ashuganj end of Brahmanbaria.The accident occurred on Saturday morning around 5:30 am at Ashuganj end of the Meghna River.According to eyewitnesses, while it was on its way to Dhaka from the border area of Sunamganj, loaded with sand, the bulkhead hit the pillar of the Syed Nazrul Islam Road Bridge at the Ashuganj end of the Meghna River and sank in an instant.
