Dhaka, Aug. 14 -- The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has returned five Bangladeshis-mostly women and children-on charges of illegally entering India through the Joypurhat border.
According to Subedar Alauddin, Commander of Kaya 20 BGB Camp, the individuals were spotted on Tuesday night in a rain-soaked condition near Sub-Pillar 54S of Main Pillar No. 271, about 350 yards from the road. The BGB then contacted the BSF.
Following communication and an agreement between the two border forces, the five individuals were taken into custody at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday amid heavy rain. They are expected to be handed over to Panchbibi Police Station later.
