Dhaka, April 19 -- The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained a Bangladeshi youth, Azinur Rahman, 24, from the border area of Baura Union in Lalmonirhat's Patgram upazila on Friday.

According to local sources, Azinur was picked up between 2:00pm and 3:00pm near border pillar No. 801 and sub-pillar No. 10-11 in Jamgram (Dangatari) village. He is the son of Nur Hossain, a resident of the same village. Ashadul Haque, member of Ward No. 1 of Baura Union Parishad, confirmed the incident.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and local authorities reported that Azinur had crossed into Indian territory, where a patrol team of BSF's 30 Battalion from Cooch Behar district apprehended him on suspicion of smuggling. He was later taken to a nearby BSF...
