Dhaka, March 26 -- A discussion meeting was held in Begum Rokeya University (BRU), Rangpur on the occasion of March 25 Genocide Day.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali was present as the chief guest at the discussion meeting held in the Syndicate Room of the administrative building of the university on Tuesday morning.
At that time, he said that on this day in 1971, a terrible night descended on the life of the Bengali nation. At midnight on March 25, the barbaric Pakistani invading forces armed with sophisticated weapons carried out genocide across the country including Dhaka.
