Dhaka, June 4 -- British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke, met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka, ahead of his upcoming official visit to the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Cooke congratulated Prof. Yunus on being selected for the prestigious King Charles Harmony Award. "It is a great honour," Prof. Yunus said in response.
The Chief Adviser is scheduled to depart for the UK on June 9 and return on June 13. During the visit, he is expected to hold talks with senior British officials.
