Dhaka, Aug. 29 -- Renowned Indian film producer Boney Kapoor has entered into a legal battle over the Chennai property of his late wife and actress Sridevi.

He has filed a case in the Madras High Court against at least three people, alleging that they are illegally claiming ownership of the land.

Sridevi had bought a plot of land on Chennai's East Coast Road in 1988. The Kapoor family has been using the land as a farmhouse.

In his petition to the court, Boney said that Sridevi had bought the land from M.C. Sambanda Mudaliar on April 19, 1988. All the necessary legal procedures had also been completed.
