Dhaka, Dec. 6 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandker Golam Faruq said that BNP would not be allowed to hold its rally on street in the capital on December 10,
While replying to questions from journalists on Monday, the DMP commissioner said, "BNP has not yet postulated the name of any alternative venue place other than Suhrawardy Udyan for the rally."
He further said, "We cannot allow anyone to gather on street anywhere in Dhaka. However, if it were an open ground then there would be a scope for consideration. " When asked whether BNP is getting permission to hold its rally in Arambagh, the DMP commissioner said, "That is also a street, and we cannot make people suffer for the rally."
