Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed said on Friday that the party will soon finalize and approve a single candidate for each constituency in the upcoming national election.

"The nomination process is already underway. Before long, the chosen candidate in every constituency will get the green signal from the party," he told reporters at his Gulshan residence while speaking on the prevailing political situation.

According to Salahuddin, BNP has several competent aspirants in all constituencies-some with as many as 10 to 12 contenders."We are carefully evaluating and shortlisting candidates.
