Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has formed a new forum with the view to giving legal support to the rape victims and those who are subjected to different kinds of repressions.
Amid the growing incidents of rape and violence against women and children, Party Standing Committee Member Selima Rahman has been made Convener of the 61-member "Nari O Shishu Odhikar Forum" (Women and Children Rights Forum).
BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy disclosed it in a press briefing at the party's Nayapaltan central office on Friday.
