Dhaka, Nov. 1 -- BNP leader and former state minister for education ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon on Friday called on the government to clarify why he was barred from leaving the country for medical treatment.

Milon said that while he was preparing to fly to Bangkok for treatment on Thursday morning, immigration officials at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport informed him that a travel ban had been imposed on him.

Speaking at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club, he said he sought an explanation from the authorities but received no clear response.
