Dhaka, Dec. 13 -- BNP on Friday announced that it will hold countrywide demonstrations on Saturday, pressing for the swift arrest of those responsible for the gun attack on independent Dhaka-8 candidate Osman Hadi.
The announcement came from BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at an event titled "Plan to Build the Country" held at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman firmly denounced the shooting of Sharif Osman Hadi.
"I strongly condemn this barbaric attack on Sharif Osman Hadi," he said while speaking as chief guest at a discussion at the Krishibid Institute in the capital's Farmgate area.
