Dhaka, Feb. 5 -- The second phase of the three-day Biswa Ijtema - the world's second-largest congregation of Muslims after Hajj - concluded on Wednesday with the "Akheri Munajat" (final prayer).

Maulana Zubair conducted the final prayer between 12pm to 12:30pm.

Thousands of devotees raised their hands seeking forgiveness and blessings for peace and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah. They also prayed for the country's welfare.

A large number of Muslim devotees from home and abroad gathered at the Ijtema venue on Wednesday morning.

After Fajr prayer on Wednesday Maulana Faruk from India delivered a sermon before the devotees while Mufti Amanul Haque translated the sermon into Bangla.
