A new BOP named 'Chhota Faringa' has been inaugurated in the remote border area surrounded by hills and forests of Karerhat in Mirerersarai upazila of Chattogram under the 43 BGB Battalion of Ramgarh, Khagrachhari.

On Sunday, Brigadier General Sohel Ahmed, PBGM, PSC Region Commander BGB's Chattogram South East Region inaugurated the BOP as the chief guest.

At the inauguration ceremony, he told reporters, a plan has been taken to establish two new battalions of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to protect the remote and unprotected border areas of the Chattogram Hill Tracts.
