Dhaka, Aug. 31 -- Speakers, at an event, said that those who lecture on human rights around the world are supporting human rights violations by Israeli forces in Gaza, Palestine and they said this while participating in the 'Bengal Delta Conference 2025' organised on Saturday at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital.

Ibn Haldun University Professor Dr Irfan Ahmad said that the Western concept of human rights is not working in Gaza, reports UNB.

"It is not that they are betraying Gaza; rather, they do not hesitate to violate human rights if it goes against their interests," he added.

Former Malaysian Education Minister Professor Dr Maszlee Bin Malik said that what is happening in Gaza is undoubtedly a human rights violation.
