Dhaka, Nov. 19 -- The National Youth Hockey team left on Tuesday for India to participate in the Youth Hockey World Cup scheduled to be held in Chennai and Madurai, from November 28 to December 10.
Bangladesh have been pitted in Group F in the twenty-four-team global tournament. The Youth Hockey team will play against strong Australia, South Korea and France in their group phase engagements. Bangladesh are going to take part in the global tournament for the first time.The Youth Hockey team are also scheduled to play two warm-up matches against Chile and Switzerland as part of preparation before the World Cup.
