Dhaka, May 7 -- Bangladesh has urged the OIC members to assist in the case of the Rohingya genocide unleashed by the Myanmar Army in 2017, when Rohingyas were flushed out through the Rakhine border to enter Bangladesh.

Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud made the appeal during the 15th OIC Summit held in Banjul, Gambia, on Monday, the Foreign Ministry said.

He called upon the member states of the OIC to provide legal and financial assistance to Gambia, which filed a case with the International Criminal Court demanding justice for the Rohingya genocide.
