Dhaka, Aug. 16 -- The Bangladesh U-17 women's football team reached Bhutan on Friday safely to participate in the seventh edition of four-nation SAFF U-17 Women's Championship with a mission to retain the title.

All players are in good health and have checked into their hotel, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) last afternoon.

Earlier in the morning, the Bangladesh U-17 women's football team, led by Arpita Biswas Arpita, left Bhutan to take part in the meet.

Apart from host Bhutan, defending champions Bangladesh, India and Nepal will participate in the regional tournament which is scheduled to take place in Thimphu from August 20 to 31.
