Dhaka, July 10 -- Bangladesh led 'Human Rights and Climate Change' resolution has been adopted at the 59th session of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva by consensus.
"Millions of people, particularly from the developing countries, are bearing the severe brunt of cascading impacts caused by climate change, and their right to life, right to health, right to housing, right to social security, and right to development, among other rights, are seriously compromised," said the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh in Geneva, reports BSS.The statement was made during the adoption of the resolution on Tuesday, according to a message received.
