Dhaka, Sept. 5 -- Bangladesh Hockey team kept their hope alive to play in the World Cup (WC) Hockey Qualifiers after defeating Kazakhstan Hockey team 5-1 in a place-deciding match of the Asian Cup Hockey at Rajgir in Bihar of India on Thursday.

Ashraful Islam of Bangladesh put his team ahead by scoring a goal utilising a penalty corner in the 10th minute of the play.

Ashraful Islam doubled the margin by a penalty stroke in the 23rd minute of the game.Roman Sarkar made it 3-0 by a field goal in the 28th minute of the match.

Roman Sarkar increased the tally into 4-0 capitalising a penalty corner in the 33rd minute of the clash.

After one minute, Tayab Ali made it 5-0 by a field goal.
