Dhaka, April 6 -- Bangladesh has advanced one spot in the global passport power rankings, now placing 181st out of 200 countries up from 182nd last year.

The ranking comes from the latest 2025 update of the Nomad Capitalist Passport Index, an international assessment that evaluates passports based on global mobility, dual citizenship opportunities, tax benefits, and personal freedom.

According to the report released on Friday, Bangladesh scored 38 this year. Bangladeshi passport holders can currently travel to 50 countries visa-free or with a visa on arrival. In 2024, the score was 37.5, allowing access to 49 such countries.
