Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- Bangladesh national football team have advanced three places up to 180th after a remarkable victory over India, making their highest position in nine years after football's global governing body FIFA revealed their FIFA World Rankings on Wednesday night.
Last time Bangladesh were ranked higher in May 2016, when they sat at 178th.Bangladesh edged past neighbour India by1-0 in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at home at the National Stadium on Tuesday last, rode on decisive first-half goal by Sheikh Morsalin. The victory ended a 22-year long drought of win against India.
