Dhaka, Oct. 6 -- Bangladesh and the United States have recently talked on regional political, security issues and reduction of tariff and trade gap, said Chief Adviser's Press Wing on Saturday.

According to the CA office, National Security Adviser and High Representative for the Rohingya issue Dr Khalilur Rahman met with Senior US officials on Oct 3 in Washington DC.

Bangladesh's new Ambassador to the US Tareq M Ariful Islam was present at the meetings. During his meeting with Ms Allison Hooker, Under Secretary for Political Affairs, she reiterated strong US support for the leadership of Chief Adviser Prof Muahmmad Yunus and steps by the Interim Government in regard to the upcoming elections in February.
