Dhaka, April 24 -- Sylhet Stadium Security Coordinator Md. Ikram Chowdhury died of a heart attack (Inna-Lillahi wa inna-laihi raji'un) while officiating Bangladesh's match against Zimbabwe at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. He was 50 years old at the time of his death.
Ikram Chowdhury suddenly fell ill while on duty at the stadium on the fourth morning of Wednesday (April 23). He was then taken to the nearby Al-Haramain Hospital where he breathed his last.
He is survived by a son and wife. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has expressed its condolences on the death of Ikram Chowdhury.
