Dhaka, Jan. 14 -- Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings made a good start in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football defeating Uttar Baridhara Club by two goals to nil in the inaugural match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.

Bashundhara led the first half 1-0. Earlier, Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, inaugurated the football competition by releasing the balloons as the chief guest.
