Dhaka, Feb. 20 -- Power production at the Barapukuria Thermal Power Plant in Dinajpur has come to a complete halt following the shutdown of all three units. A boiler leak in Unit 1 on Tuesday afternoon forced its closure, leading to a total suspension of operations.
According to officials, the plant's 125MW Unit 1 had to be shut down due to a burst boiler tube. Chief Engineer Abu Bakkar Siddique stated, "Production has been halted due to a burst boiler tube. We hope to resume operations within the next week."
