Dhaka, Dec. 2 -- As part of corporate social responsibility, Bank Asia has established a modern two-tier solar-powered irrigation project in Pirgacha, Rangpur, aimed at supporting marginal farmers by ensuring an adequate water supply for agriculture.
According to a press release, the initiative has been implemented in collaboration with the Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (RDA), Bogura.
On 26 November 2025, the project was officially handed over to the local Farmers' Association. Dr. A. K. M. Oli Ullah, Director General (Additional Secretary) of RDA, Bogura, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
