Dhaka, April 11 -- Bangladesh Women's Cricket team thrashed Thailand Women's Cricket team by 178 runs in their first match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women's World Cup (WC) Qualifiers at Lahore City Cricket Association Ground in Pakistan on Thursday.

Sent into bat first, Bangladesh women piled up a mammoth total of 271 for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 50 overs and then shot out Thailand women for 93 off 28.5 overs.

Bangladesh had a sorrow start as opener Ishma Tanjim (8) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Nannapat Kancharoenkai off Phannita Maya when the Tigresses' total was just 15.
