Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Interim Government, Md Touhid Hossain, has urged the Omani government to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector.

On the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) on Monday, the Adviser met with Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, in Muscat to discuss various issues of mutual interest. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Adviser requested the Omani government to consider recruiting Bangladeshi professionals, including doctors, engineers, IT specialists, and nurses. He also proposed the recruitment of shipbuilding technicians from Bangladesh.
