Dhaka, May 3 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus instructed relevant authorities to expedite discussions with potential foreign investors to enhance the capacity and service standards of Chattogram Port, as part of a broader effort to establish Bangladesh as a regional investment hub.
"We must engage global-standard operators in port management to ensure our ports can compete internationally.
Transforming our ports into world-class facilities is crucial for realising the investment hub vision," he said during a high-level meeting held at the State Guest House Jamuna on Wednesday.
