Dhaka, March 25 -- Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has said the Bangladesh government is committed to transforming the country into a global manufacturing hub by boosting industrial capacity, attracting foreign investments, and enacting key policy reforms.
"Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus wants to increase investment and create employment at home and abroad. To this end, he is presenting Bangladesh to the whole world as a manufacturing hub," Shafiqul said at a press briefing in the Foreign Service Academy on Tuesday.
"It will be a milestone visit. On Friday morning [March 28], there will be a meeting of Chinese President Xi Jinping with the chief adviser. This is very important. Our focus will be to talk to Chinese investors...
