Dhaka, March 4 -- The interim government has officially revoked the "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Peace Award."

The decision to cancel the "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Peace Award" was made during a meeting of the Advisory Council, chaired by Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday.

Although the policy for the award was finalised under the previous Awami League government, no recipient had ever been chosen or honoured.
