Dhaka, June 24 -- Pedal-powered rickshaw pullers have formed a human chain demanding ban on operating battery-powered auto-rickshaws on the busiest main roads of Barishal city. The Pedal-powered Rickshaw Workers Union organised this program on Sadar Road in front of Ashwini Kumar Hall in Barishal city on Monday. The Pedal-powered Rickshaw Workers Union President Dhalu Mia, General Secretary Chan Mia, Deputy General Secretary Abu Kalam and other leaders addressed at the programme.
