Dhaka, Dec. 27 -- Former adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has collected a nomination paper for the Cumilla-3 (Muradnagar) constituency to contest the upcoming national election as an independent candidate, scheduled for February 12, 2026.

NCP activist Ramjanul Karim collected the nomination paper on behalf of Asif Mahmud from the office of the Cumilla Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Returning Officer on Wednesday (December 24), DC office official Md Saheb Ali confirmed on Saturday.
