Dhaka, April 28 -- The Bangladesh Navy-run institution Ashar Alo Chattogram has been awarded the title of Best Specialized Institution in Bangladesh for its outstanding contributions to the development and protection of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
The award was presented on the occasion of the 18th World Autism Awareness Day 2025 at a ceremony organized by the Neuro Developmental Disability Protection Trust under the Ministry of Social Welfare. Honorable Advisor Mrs. Sharmin S. Murshid handed over the crest and certificate to Lt Cdr Shariful Islam, Principal of Ashar Alo Chattogram.
Ashar Alo has earned acclaim for its dedicated work in promoting the physical and mental development of children with special needs.
