Dhaka, Sept. 12 -- The tenure of executive magistracy powers for captains and above-ranked officers serving in the Bangladesh Army has been extended by another two months. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification to this effect on Thursday.
According to the gazette notification, army officers empowered as executive magistrates will be able to consider offences under sections 64, 65, 83, 84, 86, 95(2), 100, 105, 107, 109, 110, 126, 127, 128, 130, 133, and 142 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898.
