Dhaka, July 14 -- A Dhaka court on Sunday granted bail to actor Apu Biswas in a case lodged over an alleged attempt to murder one Enamul Haque in the city's Bhatara area during the July-August mass uprising.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mustafizur Rahman passed the order as Apu Biswas surrendered before the court and pleaded for bail.

Apu Biswas had earlier secured six weeks of anticipatory bail in the case from the High Court on June 2. According to the case documents, Enamul along with other students took to the street on July 19, 2024.
