Bangladesh, Feb. 18 -- Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mohammad Selim Uddin said that political tension has spread in Beanibazar, Sylhet in the post-election period. He has alleged attacks on his workers and supporters by political opponents.
This was announced at a press conference at the Jamaat-e-Islami office in Beanibazar Upazila of the district on Saturday night.
Mohammad Selim Uddin complained at the press conference, "After the election results were announced, BNP supporters and the evil forces that rose up under their umbrella in different areas of Beanibazar Upazila got agitated and attacked the houses of Jamaat supporters in the area.
