Dhaka, July 1 -- A Dhaka court on Monday placed former Jubo Mohila League Dhaka North city president Sabina Akter Tuhin and former Awami League Dhaka South city general secretary Shahe Alam Murad on remand in two separate cases.
Tuhin, also a former AL lawmaker from a reserved seat, was placed on a two-day remand in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, reports media. Murad was placed on a one-day remand in connection with the Abdul Motaleb murder case filed at Dhanmondi Police Station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Partha Bhadra issued the remand orders after police sought seven days for Tuhin and five days for Murad.
