Dhaka, Nov. 29 -- Amid intense public backlash over soaring airfares on the Sylhet-Dhaka route, authorities have announced a revised ticket structure, officials said on Friday.

A statement from the Sylhet Deputy Commissioner's media cell said the updated fares-based on data from Biman Bangladesh Airlines-aim to enhance passenger service while aligning with current market realities. Under the revised structure: Minimum fare: 2,024 BDT; with taxes, the total stands at 3,199 BDT. Maximum fare: 7,024 BDT; with taxes, the total rises to 8,199 BDT.
