Dhaka, Dec. 12 -- BRTA Chairman and Additional Secretary Abu Momtaz Saad Uddin Ahmed has said that the loss of a life in a road accident does not only devastate a single family, but also affects the entire society.
"We cannot bring back the lives that have been lost, but the financial assistance provided by the state will offer the families some support to stand on their feet again," he said.
He added that the government has been working continuously to ensure safety on the roads.
"With the combined efforts of the public, transport owners and workers, and the administration, it is possible to reduce road accidents. We want to ensure that no family has to endure the pain of losing a loved one again."
