Dhaka, July 28 -- All committees of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement (ADSM) across the country except the central committee have been suspended. Rifat Rashid, former coordinator and president of the central committee of the student movement, announced this at a press conference on Sunday (July 27).

The announcement follows the recent expulsion of Ibrahim Hossain Munna, convener of SAD's Dhaka city unit, along with members Sakadoun Siam and Sadman Sadab, citing their involvement in activities deemed detrimental to the party's principles.

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement spearheaded the uprising in July-August last year that ousted the autocratic Sheikh Hasina regime.
