Dhaka, April 23 -- Law enforcement authorities have arrested Hridoy Miaji, 23, a joint member secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement's (ADSM) Banani unit, in connection with the murder of Zahidul Islam Parvez, a student of Primeasia University.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel from RAB-11 apprehended Hridoy on Monday night from Monairkandi village in Titas upazila of Cumilla, where he had been hiding at the residence of his maternal uncle, Harun-or-Rashid Sikdar. Following his detention, he was handed over to Banani police at approximately 5:30pm on Tuesday.

Confirming the arrest, Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Russell Sarwar said Hridoy is a named accused in the murder case.
